Schaumglas Global Consulting strengthens the leadership
Dr. Arjen Steiner re‐joins the management of Schaumglas Global Consulting GmbH (SGGC) as managing director. SGGC is a specialized company for all aspects of foam glass gravel and foam glass boards or blocks. SGGC is also a supplier of turnkey plant technology and equipment for foam glass production up to commissioning and transfer of competence regarding the production process. Dr. Steiner is a graduated glass engineer with a Ph.D. related to foam glass. He is a founding partner of SGGC and has been involved in the development of foam glass products and manufacturing equipment for most of his professional career. As a young engineer he started working with Saint‐Gobain Glass in the float glass industry and became later technical director of DTEC Engineering and Consulting GmbH, a company specialized in realizing float glass projects. He managed SGGC from 2012 to 2016 having successfully opened the market to Russia and the USA. From 2016 to this year, he manages SKS Sorg Keramik Service GmbH, the service entity of the Sorg group with six operating units and more than 200 people. The Sorg Group designs and builds glass melting furnaces. The CEO of SGGC, Harald Prang, is very pleased having Arjen Steiner back on board. Steiner’s international industrial experience and especially his experience in glass technology will be very important for the future growth of our company. He also has deep knowledge of all aspects of the foam glass industry from raw materials to manufacturing and equipment optimization.
